HSA/FSA Eligible Skincare

Last updated October 2026. This page is general information, not tax or medical advice — your HSA/FSA plan administrator makes the final call on what qualifies.

Yes — you can pay with your HSA or FSA card at drzenovia.com

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) can be used for over-the-counter products that treat a specific skin condition, such as acne, scarring, rosacea, melasma, and sun damage. Dr. Zenovia’s clinical formulas are developed by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Zenovia Gabriel, MD, and 14 products currently qualify. At checkout, use your HSA or FSA debit card the same way you would any other card.

How it works

  1. Shop the eligible products. Every qualifying product says “HSA/FSA eligible” on its product page, and all of them are gathered in the HSA/FSA Eligible collection.
  2. Pay with your HSA or FSA card at checkout. Enter it as a regular debit card. If your plan declines the charge (some plans restrict online skincare purchases), pay with another card and submit the order for reimbursement.
  3. Keep your order confirmation. It is your itemized receipt. Your plan may ask for it, and some plans also request a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your doctor for certain items.

Dark spots and melasma

  • The Glow Getter — vitamin C, glycolic pads, moisturizer, and SPF for hyperpigmentation and post-acne marks

Products are flagged eligible when they treat a specific condition. Kits and sets are flagged for the condition they treat as a whole; if your plan reviews items individually, keep your receipt and ask your dermatologist for a Letter of Medical Necessity. Shop all HSA/FSA eligible products.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my HSA or FSA card at checkout?

Yes. Add eligible products to your cart and pay with your HSA or FSA debit card at checkout like any other card. Only the products listed above are flagged as eligible; other items in the same order should be paid for separately.

What if my HSA/FSA card is declined?

Some plans only approve card payments at pharmacies or medical providers. If that happens, pay with another card, then submit your order confirmation to your plan for reimbursement. Most plans let you do this from their website or app.

Do I need a Letter of Medical Necessity?

Usually not for over-the-counter acne treatments and sunscreen, which have been eligible without a prescription since 2020. Some plans still ask for a Letter of Medical Necessity for serums, moisturizers, or kits. Your dermatologist or physician can provide one, and your plan will tell you if it is required.

Can I get reimbursed if I already paid with a regular card?

Yes. Submit your order confirmation (it lists each product and the amount paid) to your plan administrator. Eligibility is determined by IRS guidelines and your specific plan, not by Dr. Zenovia Skincare.
